Pearl Harbor part I

Here in Hawaii we get an extra holiday that no other state gets, King Kamehameha Day.  I don't  know all the particulars but I know it was June 10th this year.  They had a parade that we missed because we decided to go to Pearl Harbor and check out the Arizona memorial.

USS Bowfin known as the Pearl Harbor Avenger. Launched one year to the day after the attack.

When we got to Pearl we discovered that we were not alone.  Our wait time to go on the Arizona tour was 3 hours... we were not prepared for this so we went through a couple of very nice(free) museums and walked around the grounds a little bit before we resolved to come back the next day earlier than 10:30
